Two Natural Pink Nail Strengtheners - One $30, One $2.89

I am a bargain hunter to the core.  I will spend money on a product that shows promise, but only if I am certain there isn't another option somewhere at a better price.  So when I was perusing Sephora's website and saw Perfect Formula's Pink Gel Coat, I took note.

The first sentence in Pink Gel Coat's description says, "This "Suit of Armor" creates a sheer pink coating that strengthens and hardens natural nails so they grow beautifully long and strong."

It reminded me of Sally Hansen's Natural Pink Strengthener, whose description reads, "This super-smooth nail treatment is all you need in the war against chipped and broken nails. Once applied, this shield protects your nails with a hard, smooth surface, allowing them to grow long and healthy."

Perfect Formula's is a thick pink gel, where Sally Hansen's is your regular nail polish consistency. Not quite the same, but both products promise the same result.  There are both good and bad reviews on both products.  The biggest difference is the price.  Perfect Formula's Pink Gel Coat's price? $30.  Sally Hansen's price? $2.89.

Why write this if you didn’t even use either and compare? Waste my time.

Hi Nat,

I’d pick to $3 every time. No question. This post is over a year old and I have since purchased Sally Hansen’s. Totally fits my bill. (And, btw, if you’re looking for an amazing natural pink polish, I just bought China Glaze Innocence. My new fav hands down.
Sorry to “waste your time”. Let me know what one you picked.

Not a waste of time Nat. It pointed me in the right direction. I just took one more step and compared the ingredients of these two products. The first 2 ingredients listed are the same. Ingredients are always listed in order of the largest amount. So for the most part these two products are the same.
