I think it's safe to say that if you're reading this and you live in the United States, you'll be spending most, if not all of the three-day weekend outside. With parades, BB-Q's and community celebrations, I'd bank on a few sunburns across the country this weekend. Please think ahead and plan; don't be one of the uncomfortable ones with pink skin. Tonight, before you settle down for the evening, do a little packing. If you take care of it tonight, you'll be sure that you won't forget anything tomorrow. Our packing list should help you remember it all.
Just remember, being in the sun all day can not only play havoc on your skin, but your entire body as well. Stay hydrated! And I'm not talking about just drinking beer. By stopping and picking up a few bottles of water to carry in your bag, you'll be sure to have water even if there isn't any available to the public.
But my most important tip: have fun. We're not blessed with three-day weekends all that often. Forget about the household chores and get out there and hit a volleyball around for awhile. Remember what it's like to be a carefree kid.
