The Bottom Line

If you're looking for a quick tan that lasts a day or so, Soap & Glory's Glow Getter is inexpensive, readily available at Target and is quite easy to apply. And because it washes off simply with soap and water, you're not committed to it if you don't like it.

Pros

  • Easy to apply.
  • Completely able to blend in all streaks.
  • Provides a fairly natural deep-looking tan.
  • Looks great on the face.
  • Washes off instantly if you don't like it.

Cons

  • Only one shade makes it hard for those with very fair skin.
  • You really do need to blend, and blending in areas that you can't reach is hard.

Description

  • A body and face bronzer that comes in an aerosol can.
  • Available exclusively at Target stores.
  • Bronzer will only last until your next shower, as it easily washes off with soap and water.

Guide Review - Soap & Glory: Glow Getter Sun Powder Spray

I love the idea of self-tanners but I hate the idea of living with streaks for a week or so if it doesn't get put on smoothly, so I typically pretend to be proud of my ivory skin all summer long. I do love the look of having a (fake) tan, but rarely consistently use self tanners all summer long because I hate streaks and blotches, and I never have the time to properly apply it.

I was excited to try Soap & Glory's Glow Getter because body bronzers are just more my style. I love the fact that I can really work at the streaks and blend them in as I go. I knew that if I screwed it up, I could start all over.

Soap & Glory's Glow Getter is an spray bronzer that is made for your face and body. There is only one shade, which I wasn't sure about because the variance in skin tones is so wide.

I applied in my bathroom standing on a towel. And I didn't find the product to be overly messy to apply. The spray appears to be very dark when you first apply it, but as you blend it in with your skin, your skin takes on a nice golden color. Blending is key with this product. The spray comes out in a precise spray leaving an obvious line of color. By rubbing the product in right away, there isn't a hint of streaking.

When I applied it to my face, I was more than pleasantly surprised. I tucked my hair back in a towel, stood in the shower and sprayed my face. I then quickly went to the mirror and blended. I loved the sun-kissed look that my skin had. And blending into the hairline wasn't a problem at all. Also I wanted to note that the product did give a matte-like appearance to my skin.

Ideally this will be easier to apply if you have a friend to help get the places you can't reach, because there is no way you can make this even on places you can't reach, like your back. But at the price point, if you're looking to try a body bronzer, you can't go wrong.
