Redbook Magazine teaches us a shaving secret you probably don't know (I didn't!). Do you use a mega (expensive) 4-5 blade razor to prevent razor burn only to have it keep showing up? Bad move says Redbook. When you use multiple blade razors, your hair is pulled up for a close shave, but then the hair goes back below the skin's surface. This makes them more likely to curl under the skin when it grows back. Carolyn Jacob, MD, the doctor giving advice to Redbook suggests using a single blade razor and shaving with the hair growth, not against. She also recommends a salicylic acid-based treatment after shaving, like Tend Skin Liquid
(compare prices) to keep pores clean and hair soft.
