Caldrea: Hand Soap Review

Caldrea is a home and body care line that looks and feels completely high end, but is priced more of the slightly-splurging, but so worth it price. The bottles are over-sized, the smells are out of this world and the look is clean and simple. And an added benefit, the products are made right in the United States, Minnesota, to be exact. We bought ours at Target.

We made a bee-line to the Caldrea products at Target one day and while we had a hard time choosing one or two of their products because they all sounded so great. We finally settled on two hand soaps: Citron Ginger and Olive Oil. _{(Read review of Skin Authority: Olive, Fig and Shea Butter Body Cream)}

The description on the Olive Oil soap reads, "This green, uplifting fragrance adds an herbal twist to the heady scent of fresh-pressed olives. A fresh touch of coriander is complemented by base notes of cedar, amber and musk.

The Citron Ginger reads, "Brighten your day with the spicy tang of ginger and a lively twist of citrus. Green notes of basil impart freshness and a touch of cool to set this fragrance apart from the ordinary."

Things We Love:

• Scent: We simply can't express in this short review just how amazing these hand soaps smell. They are light scented, but long lasting. The kind of smell that you want to continuously bring your hand up to your nose and sniff. (And yes, we know just how silly that sounds.) They smell like they come right from the ingredients listed, though there is "fragrance" listed on the ingredients. (Parents, you'll absolutely know if your kiddo washed their hands in the bathroom. Bonus!) They absolutely got the fragrance right.
• Bottles: The bottles are clean-lined, not overly noticeable and blend in perfectly with your decor. Method's hand washes used to be our favorites, but Cadrea has taken their spot as winner.
• Product Amount in Bottle: The hand soaps we bought have 16 ounces in them, but I see they also have 11 ounce bottles. They are good size bottles.
• Ability to Buy a Refill: They sell a 32 ounce refill bottle for $20.
• Clean Hands: One pump of the soap is plenty and the soap bubbles right up, cleaning easily.
• Made in the USA: As noted above, made in Minnesota. Also, the bottles are biodegradable and there is no animal testing at all.
• Availability: As long as they keep selling it at Target, we're good to go!

We're hooked! And we can't wait to try more products in the Caldrea line, especially the home products. We've only smelled two of the scents, so that's all we can speak for, but Caldrea is going to start replacing some of the products that run out. Made in the USA, amazing scents, clean looking bottles, available at Target - definitely worth us digging deeper in the line.
