Guide Review - Aspara Aromatics: Yuzu Renew Body Silk
When I first got this bottle of lotion, I was unfamiliar with what Yuzu actually was. Doing some research, I found out that a Yuzu is a small citrus fruit found in Asia. It apparently tastes like a sour grapefruit, but when I smelled this lotion, sour wasn't nearly the thought I had. This lotion has a distinctive citrus smell, but subdued and very light; I instantly liked it.
This lotion is a thick white cream that needs only to be used sparingly. It moisturizes even the driest skin without feeling greasy at all. It includes some top notch moisturizing ingredients such as Rice Bran Oil, Shea Butter, Virgin Coconut Oil and Olive Oil which ensures that it will leave your skin hydrated for a long time.
This lotion is thick, almost as thick as a body butter. Because it is so thick, getting the lotion to come out (especially when you are running low) would be easier if there was a pump to get the lotion out. (Edited to add that after this review, a pump was added to all Aspara lotions. It makes dispensing lotion a breeze.) That said, I love the fact that this isn't in a tub. This keeps the lotion from being contaminated from constantly putting your fingers in.
All in all, I enjoy this lotion a lot. I love the fact that it is a scent that you can only find in Asia, and I've gotten good comments from those around me. With the great moisturizing benefits, I feel the price is right on.
