La Fleur Organique: Exfoliating Scrub

About.com Rating 3.5

By , About.com Guide

The Bottom Line

La Fleur Organique Exfoliating Scrub is a weekly (or more) exfoliating treatment for your body that is made specifically for Walgreens as a part of the "European Beauty Collection". It has cute packaging that screams "girly-girl", however the price is a bit high when you see that there are only 3.37 ounces. There are many scrubs available that have 5+ ounces in the same price range.

Pros

  • This creamy scrub has lots of salty granules which leaves your skin super soft
  • Tube container makes dispensing easy and sanitary
  • After scrubbing, rinsing and drying off, the light scent is still on your skin

Cons

  • Scent - You don't really smell lavender or almond in the light scent

Description

  • Weekly Excoliating Scrub scented with Lavender and Almond
  • Made in Provence France exclusively for Walgreens as a part of the European Beauty Collection
  • Contains organic ingredients such as lavender flower water, hazel seed oil and sweet almond oil

Guide Review - La Fleur Organique: Exfoliating Scrub

Walgreens has a set of 7 skin care companies that together are marketed as the "European Beauty Collection". La Fleur Organique is made with many organic plant-based ingredients in Provence, France. La Fleur Organique has been creating products for over a century.

I loved the pretty purple packaging with cute lavender flowers on it, but I'd love it if all cosmetics companies would skip the box that we all throw away and just give us the product alone. The tub contains 3.37 ounces of lavender and almond scented scrub. La Fleur Organique recommends you use their Exfoliating Scrub once a week, however, you usually can exfoliate your body 2-3 times a week. I see nothing that would make me think that this couldn't be used more than once a week if you desired. Being in a tube, it's easy to dispense this exfoliating scrub, unlike tub-contained scrubs. This is a creamy base with salty granules which do a fantastic job at removing dead skin cells. The scent is light, and to be honest, I didn't really smell a lavender or almond scent, but it was nice none-the-less. After scrubbing, rinsing and drying off, I still had a night light scent left on my body.

While I did enjoy this body scrub, I do believe that $22 is a bit steep. While you may be paying more because of the organic ingredients, I believe you're paying more because it's playing the role of being "European". You can certainly get a body scrub that has more ounces for less money if organic ingredients are not a big factor for you. If you do decide to splurge and pick it up, I do believe that you'll enjoy it. There were testers out at my Walgreens, so make sure you smell it before you buy it to make sure you like the scent.
