Guide Review - Review of H2O+ Sea Marine Triple Butter Sugar Scrub
The Triple Butter Sugar Scrub is part of the Sea Marine collection from H2O Plus. This collection contains products to give you head to toe purifying benefits from their focus ingredient, natural seaweed extracts.
When you first open the tub of Triple Butter Sugar Scrub, you smell their rich aromatherapy scent that reminds me a bit of Aveda, which also relies on plant extracts for skin care benefits. If you like the smell of aromatherapy, you'll love the smell of H2O plus.
The scrub is a very thick white scrub that when scooped out, holds its shape. The tub is packed tight with scrub, and to give you an idea on how thick this scrub is, you can easily hold the tub upside down for ages, and it will not fall out. This thick consistency is due to the inclusion of shea, cocoa and mango butter.
I used this scrub as an all over body scrub in the shower, and loved how easily it spread around while clinging to my skin. Because of this, I wasted less scrub than those of a more crumbly or loose consistency. This scrub was perfect for the rough areas, such as my elbows and knees, while not being too rough for the rest of my body.
I'd recommend using a spatula or spoon to get the scrub out because you really do have to dig out a handful because of its consistency. When you're in the shower, it's nearly impossible to do that without getting extra water into the container. It's also more sanitary to get a handful that way.
After drying off, my skin felt extremely hydrated, and there wasn't any oily residue left over, which many times happens with oil based scrubs. The scent, while strong when using, quickly faded and left only a hint of fragrance on my skin.
