The Bottom Line

I really wanted to love this body butter. With Mangosteen being a hot item in the health market these days, I couldn't wait to give AromaFloria's Mangosteen Body Butter a try. When I did however, I never really felt that it soaked all the way in. And unlike AromaFloria's Honey Papaya Nut Meal Exfoliant, this didn't have the same "to die for" scent I was longing for.

Pros

  • Lightly scented
  • Eco-Friendly - 100% Wind Powered
  • No animal testing
  • Paraben Free

Cons

  • Small container for price compared to others on the market (4.5 oz)
  • I never felt that it fully soaked in

Description

  • Mangosteen scented body butter that is light in scent, but not really a scent you crave to use over and over.
  • 4.5 ounce tub sells for $30
  • Created by AromaFloria, an Eco-friendly company that is based around the benefits of aromatherapy.

Guide Review - AromaFloria: Mangosteen Body Butter

Have you heard how great some say Mangosteen is? It's chuck-full of antioxidants, and we all know how good those are for your body. When I saw that AromaFloria had a Mangosteen line of products, I was very excited to give it a try. I wanted to love it, but when I took my first smell, while the scent was a nice light scent, it didn't have kind of scent you long to keep applying, (just the opposite of their Honey Papaya).

AromaFloria's Mangosteen Body Butter with Shea and Aloe is an extremely thick white body butter that comes in a tub with 4.5 ounces and sells for $30. A little really does go a long way, but even when I used a tiny amount, it took a really long time to sink in. In fact, I was left with a noticeable residue over an hour after application.

Perhaps you would love this moisturizer if you dealt with extremely dry, flaky skin and needed extreme moisture, but for me, I'm not going to run out and spend $30 on this body butter.

But don't let this turn you away completely from AromaFloria. As I stated earlier, I'm a huge fan of their Honey Papaya Nut Meal Exfoliant. AromaFloria is a wonderful company with roots in environmentally friendly ways of business. The founder, Sharon Christie, is a chemist, pharmacist, aromatherapist and herbalist who has had the opportunity to learn and study the effects of plant benefits from the Amazon Rain forest. They use 100% Wind Power, Eco-Friendly packaging, no animal testing and are paraben and phalate free.
