Guide Review - 100 Percent Pure: Organic Pomegranate Shower Gel
Pomegranates are full of anti-oxidants, so I knew that I was going to love 100% Pure: Organic Pomegranate Shower Gel. It is a bright pink color packaged in a cute recyclable bottle, that is reminiscent to a condiment bottle. The labels are simple, so the pretty color of the product shines though.
I didn't pay close enough attention to the consistency before I tried it the first time. When I opened the bottle and poured some out, a handful came out and immediately fell to the shower floor. It was as though I was pouring out juice. I didn't have a bath lily handy, and trying to wash my body with the consistency of this product was almost impossible. There was little to no lathering.
The next day, I went into my shower ready with a bath lily, and tried carefully to pour out a little bit of this "gel". Unfortunately, more than what I had planned for came out, which again created another waste. But this time, unlike the last time, there were bubbles galore. Using this product on a lily or sponge is the only way to get a lather. And I do want to point out that I do understand that the consistency is due to the fact that this shower gel doesn't contain any fillers to make it thick. I do like that fact, but not so much in my shower gel. I prefer my shower gel to be an actual gel.
Checking out the ingredient list, I loved seeing the first ingredient is Organic Pomegranate Juice. In fact, the ingredient list is full of organic fruits and herbs. While the scent of this gel is very sweet, it's purely because of the fruits and herbs, and not because of a synthetic fragrance.
If you are of the group that loves to stick with all natural, organic skin care products, you will likely love the simplicity of 100% Pure's shower gels. But if you prefer your shower gels to be gel-like, be aware that you won't get it with this.
