John Masters, owner of John Masters Organics feels that we should put as little unnatural ingredients onto our body as possible. He is hairstylist, and realized just how many chemicals he was putting himself in front of daily. He decided to make a change, and opened the first chemical free salon in NYC. In 2001, Masters created his own line of organic hair and skin care products.
All of his products are endorsed by PETA and are vegan-friendly, with the exception of the products that contain honey and beeswax.
John Masters Organics: Blood Orange Vanilla Body Wash
The Blood Orange Vanilla Body Wash says on the back that the reason it turns into a lovely foam is because of the mild corn and coconut-based cleansers that won't dry out your skin. I'll take his word on the corn cleanser, but I can tell you that coconut-based cleansers will leave your skin with extra hydration, and this fits the bill.
I was pleasantly surprised by this scent of this body wash. When reading "Blood Orange", you'd think that it's going to smell as though you just opened up a fresh orange. But with the addition of vanilla, it cuts the tartness right out and leaves you with a unique mild smelling body wash which I fell in love with immediately. It has been my first pick ever since it joined my shower.
I love the fact that this body wash comes with a pump, rather than a squeeze bottle. The bottle is a very basic bio-degradable bottle that comes with no extra packaging. This falls into the philosophy that John Masters has brought with him from the beginning. As promised by John, you won't find any ingredients in these products that won't be of benefit to your skin.
John Masters Organics: Blood Orange Vanilla Body Milk
I am in love with this lotion. It comes in the exact same bottle as the Blood Orange Vanilla Body Wash, and is a milky-white color with a light texture. It sinks in almost instantly, leaving your skin smelling really amazing. (So amazing that you will find yourself constantly bringing your arm up to your nose for one more sniff.) The bottle refers to it as an euphoric scent, and I wholeheartedly agree.
This lotion has 12 organic plant extracts and essential oils for moisturizing benefits, and while the scent screams summer, it is also perfect for the dry skin of winter. I was surprised to see just how long this kept my skin moisturized. The second ingredient on the list is Aloe Vera leaf juice; which is fantastic for those of you with sensitive skin.
The Body Milk, as well as all of the John Masters products state proudly that are have no parabens, no artificial colors or fragrances and no petro-chemicals. They are also free of other ingredients they think important.
I completely enjoy the scent and soft skin that I get while using John Masters Blood Orange Vanilla Body Wash and Body Milk.
