The active ingredients in this cream are lactic acid and glycolic acid which are responsible for exfoliating. The percentage of alpha-hydroxy acids is 10% in this cream, which is a percentage that you can find in many AHA exfoliating creams. Jeannie's Review: The product, when used correctly, appears to work. I had my two children, Katherine and Jacob, use it. Katherine was better than Jacob when using it, but Katherine agreed her arms were smoother when she used it regularly. Keratosis pilaris runs in our family and I would have used it if someone had given me anything to combat this bumpy arm syndrome that I too, battled as a child. I would say the smell is pleasant enough, color is white, but goes on and rubs in quite easily.
Because it is only used on the upper arms or where affected with keratosis pilaris, it seems to be very reasonable priced, as it appears to work. She didn't exfoliate when using despite knowing it might help even more, but even so, we saw a big difference
Stephanie's Review: I used the KP Elements Exfoliating Cream twice daily for a month on my upper arms and my thighs. I did see improvement in both. It's more noticeable on my thighs. I think as I've aged, my arms have started to clear on their own, but my thighs still get the red dots often. Each morning I exfoliated and then used the cream and at night, I just used the cream.
KP Elements has a nice clean scent. It didn't smell of a fragrance which I liked. It wasn't greasy or oily and it absorbed into my skin nicely. I did see improvement in the areas and it seemed to do well on my KP on both my arms and thighs. I would definitely recommend this product. I don't know how it compares to other products that are for KP, because I've never used any, but I was happy with the results from this product.

Erica's Review: I used KP Elements at first without exfoliating but it didn't seem to do anything so I added the exfoliating cleaner in the shower. There was some progress as far as the smoothness of my arm, but the red bumps are still very much there. I don't know if I'm a rare case, but I really feel that using a exfoliator alone would have given me the same results. the cream wasn't greasy and did rub in nicely.

Two out of our three reviewers had good results with KP Elements and online reviews seem to be hit or miss. Results will completely depend on whether or not you use it as directed, which is twice a day. If you only use it sporadically, it won't be able to do its job.
