Vivid MD Skin Care, a skin care company based in Santa Monica CA, is now bringing you their skin care products which were formerly only sold through dermatology and plastic surgery offices. I had a chance to try out their sensitive skin regime, and I was truly amazed at how fantastic my skin felt. Results were felt after my very first use.
An interesting fact about Satin Cleanser: "Product was originally created for cancer patients to treat the delicate skin resulting from chemotherapy treatment."
This 4 ounce cleanser retails for $24.
Vitamin C, an antioxidant found in many anti-aging skin care lines, is known it's ability to ward off free-radicals. Packaging is important when it comes to Vitamin C; it must not be exposed to air or light, or it will lose it's potency. This pump keeps it sealed from air, but to be safe, because it's stored in a clear bottle, I'd store it away from direct sunlight. My skin, which is combination, drank this serum in instantly. If your skin is oily or combination, you could easily get all the moisture you need this serum alone.
Perfection-C retails for $60 for 1 ounce.
Balancing Moisture Cream is a light moisturizer with a pleasant scent which I enjoyed using. It is not only for sensitive skin, but dry, combo and oily as well. Vivid Skin Care tells us that they use "Farnesol Complex" to normalize skin in days, be it oily or dry or anywhere in between. When doing research on Farnesol at CosmeticsCop.com, I found that Farnesol is extracts of plants used primarily for fragrance with some possible antioxidant benefit, however, no research showing any benefit to skin.
I'm hesitant to believe a product that says it will adjust to your skin type, especially when given a number of days in which to see changes. There is no SPF in this moisturizer; don't forget to add your own.
2 ounces retails for $39.
Final Thoughts on Vivid MD Skin Care for Sensitive Skin
I really did feel the difference while using Vivid Skin Care and would recommend it to those of you with sensitive skin. The changes were instant, and I enjoy using the products. While I have doubts about the idea of a moisturizer self adjusting to your skin type, especially on opposite ends of the spectrum, I did notice instantly softer skin.
