Crystalift Microdermabrasion Machine is an at-home microdermabrasion tool that uses the same technique as machines used in dermatology clinics. It combines exfoliating crystals with vacuum power to slough off dead skin cells.
Crystalift Microdermabrasion Machine - Description and Directions
Crystalift is a microdermabrasion machine that is to be used weekly in existence with your current skin care regimen. It's goal is to slough off the dead skin cells on the surface of your skin, revealing the fresh, smooth skin underneath. The price for the kit and a one month supply is currently $199 and each monthly supply kit is $40.
To use the machine, simply turn on, adjust the settings to low, medium or high, depending on your comfort level, and swipe the wand over your skin. The vacuum will gently tug the skin while the crystals painlessly blast off the dead skin cells on the top of the skin's surface.
There are four pods of crystals, each supposed to be enough for one use.(see my notes on that below) They suggest you use this product weekly, and it is safe to use on your face, neck and chest area, but not eyes or lips.
Crystalift Microdermabrasion Machine - Our Review
Our First Use:
There is a DVD that is included with the machine that gives you all of the directions for use. It was just under 8 minutes and after watching, I was confident to go ahead and try it. I made sure my face was clean and dry and my hair was pulled back. I put a pod of crystals and put it in its space, along with a larger pod below that automatically collects the used crystals. I then turned it on and tried it on my arm, as the instructions state to do.
Initially I had the setting on the highest setting, but moved it down to low after feeling it on my arm. It didn't hurt, but it wasn't comfortable. Once I felt comfortable on low, I went to it.
The DVD showed them starting at the chin so that's where I started, keeping the wand held on the skin to ensure a seal. I moved the wand continuously over my chin working in simply rows from the top down. I moved on to my cheeks, nose and finally forehead. It was quick, painless and easy. All in all it look 3 minutes, maybe. I then moved onto my neck and chest, which was just as easy and pain-free. Simply moving the wand in rows across your skin.
It's easy to see the area of your skin that you've already treated because it leaves a little layer of crystals behind on your skin. When finished, you simply rinse off the leftover crystals and moisturize your skin.
When I turned it off, I noted that about half of the pod of crystals were used, which would mean the 4 pods would be enough for 2 months if you used it on the low setting as I did. Maybe I could have gone over my skin a little more, but I felt it wasn't necessary.
Crystalift: Results After First Use
After my first use, the results were dramatic. My skin was totally smooth and exfoliated. It was a little bit pink, but there was no pain or discomfort during the treatment whatsoever.
I'm going to use this machine a few times this month and report back each time if things change. But as of the first use, I love that there is still 1/2 a pod of crystals to use next week. I love how smooth my skin looks and feels and how quick and easy it was to get it there. It provides results that are much better then a manual scrubby exfoliator. I love that I can do it in my home at my own time frame, too.
The price is steep with a monthly add-on cost (or every other month if things continue the way they are with us) but so far, I'd pay the price if the results continue on the way they do.
Come back and read more in a week or so, and if you have questions about the Crystalift that you'd like answered before you purchase, send me an email: firstname.lastname@example.org - and I'll do my best to add it in the next review.
