Guide Review - Bare Escentuals: Rare Minerals Purely Nourishing Facial Moisturizer
Bare Escentuals, Rare Minerals: Purely Nourishing Facial Moisturizer comes in a pump bottle with 1.7 ounces and currently retails for $32.
The moisturizer itself is a light, almost whipped consistency that one reviewer described as looking and feeling like creamy buttermilk. The color is white, and the light scent sort of reminded us of frosting, of all things. We definitely enjoyed using this moisturizer.
Some reviewers noted that it was a bit heavy for their oily skin, so if you do have oily skin, you may want to try to get a sample of this first, and see how your skin handles it.
However, I personally have combination skin, and since I started using this moisturizer, I've noticed my skin is much more even and healthy looking. It's one of the things I look forward to in the morning. Putting on this cream feels like I'm treating my skin to a healthy dose of pampering.
The one thing that we're completely bummed about is the lack of SPF. We know that you need to reapply SPF during the day, but it's nice to start out our day with sun protection, especially if we're headed into the office all day and don't need to reapply until we're ready to head home. If you choose this product, just know that you'll need to use a facial moisturizer as well.
And Bare Escentuals does make a great SPF 30 facial sunscreen that you could double as your powder.
There are well over 500 reviews on Rare Minerals Purely Nourishing Facial Moisturizer on Sephora.com, and the average rating right now is 4 stars as well.
