Guide Review - Chella: Enzyme Exfoliating Crema Mask
Directions for use: Apply to clean, damp face and neck, avoiding your eye area. Leave on for 10 minutes and then rinse thoroughly. You should use it once a week.
Who is it for: This is an exfoliating mask, and everyone's skin needs to be exfoliated. Exfoliating your skin gets rid of dead skin cells, gives your skin a fresh glow and is vital if you're looking for anti-aging benefits. This mask is made for all skin types, even sensitive, but does have a warning if your skin feels uncomfortable with the tingling sensation, wash off immediately.
Product description: Chella: Enzyme Exfoliating Crema Mask is a shiny white cream mask that smells fresh, like lavender. The mask is very easy to spread onto your skin, and while it asks you to apply a generous amount, we had to use far less than we thought we would.
Once applied to our skin, the mask had no color whatsoever. We did feel a slight tingling, but it was not uncomfortable in the least bit. The mask does not harden or change consistency at all.
Our results: We left the mask on, as directed, for 10 minutes. We then hopped in the shower to rinse it off, and from the second we started rinsing it off, we could feel our skin's new-found smooth feeling. And when we got in front of the mirror, we were more than thrilled with the results of our skin. Our skin glowed, looked fresh and tightened.
Our thoughts on Chella: Enzyme Exfoliating Crema Mask: For even exfoliation, nothing beats using an AHA exfoliator instead of a manual scrubby exfoliator. This is because the exfoliation is done while you sit, and it's done in an even way.
This held true with this mask as well. Our entire face and neck felt and looked smooth and fresh - obviously exfoliated. The scent is light and fresh - not overwhelming. The creamy texture of the mask made it easy to apply, and we only had to use about a nickle-sized amount to our skin.
But what makes us love this mask the most is the obvious results it gives. Add in the fact that you only need to use it once a week, we're sold!
Priced at $60 (though, at the time of this review is $40 on amazon) puts it in a splurge category, but when you factor in that you only need to use a nickle-size dollop once a month, you can probably count on getting 3 months out of the tube. If it fits into your budget, go for it!
