Freeman Beauty: Pink Grapefruit Facial Scrub - Our Thoughts
Things We Love:
- Price: This facial exfoliator is only $4. You really can't beat that price.
- No Animal Testing: That's not always a given with skin care a beauty products, so it's nice to see with Freeman Beauty.
- Scent: The pink grapefruit isn't the tart smell that I was expecting. It's more of a mixture of pink grapefruit mixed with the clean smell of soap. (Though it's not sudsy at all.)
- Fine Exfoliating Particles: The fine particles are not harsh on the skin and do a pretty good job of removing dead skin cells from the surface of your skin.
Something's We Weren't Crazy About
- Gel: I really wanted to love this given the lovely scent and awesome price, but I wasn't a big fan of the gel-based scrub. Many times, gel-based exfoliators are a combo of cleansing and exfoliating, so they will bubble up, but this exfoliating gel does not. Picture rubbing aloe gel mixed with scrubbing bits on your skin. It may have done an OK job of exfoliating, but I didn't particularly enjoy the gel-base.
- Exfoliating Ability: We noted in the "Things we Love" that the exfoliating properties were a good size for gentle but effective exfoliating, but we felt that we had to really work at exfoliating with this scrub. It felt like we were just smoothing gel around on our skin and we needed a heavier hand than we would usually have with exfoliating our face.
Freeman Beauty: Pink Grapefruit Facial Scrub - Final Thoughts
Who can beat the price of Freeman Beauty: Pink Grapefruit Facial Scrub? It's a very gentle exfoliator that can be used multiple times a week. It's also a good size bottle at 6 ounces. All very positive things. But we just did not enjoy using the product. While the scent was great to wake up to, that was pretty much all we really enjoyed about this facial exfoliator.
But note that this is only our personal opinions and you might love using a non-foaming gel-based scrub. As for us, we're passing on this one.
