Freeman Beauty: Pomegranate Body Sugar Scrub - Description and Directions
Freeman Beauty: Pomegranate Body Sugar Scrub is a scrub suited for your body from the neck down. Unlike the Pink Grapefruit Facial Exfoliating Scrub we reviewed, this scrub is highly exfoliating, so be sure to adjust the pressure of your hand when applying to areas such as the chest, where you won't need as must exfoliation as, say, your feet.
The product is a clear thick gel jam packed with visible sugar particles. The scent is strong and definitely falls in the "highly fragranced" category.
At the time of this review, Freeman Beauty's Pomegranate Body Sugar Scrub comes in a 6 ounce tube and is priced at $3.99. Freeman Beauty products are readily available in drugstores and on their website.
How to Use:
The directions on the tube read, "Gently Massage onto wet skin. Rinse completely." While it doesn't specifically say how often to use this scrub, we'd recommend using it two to three times a week.
Freeman Beauty: Pomegranate Body Sugar Scrub - Our Thoughts
Things We Love:
- Price: Like all Freeman Beauty Products, the price is right and affordable by everyone.
- Exfoliating Ability: Sugar scrubs really do give your body a thorough exfoliation and this product is no exception. But move quickly, because the sugar does eventually dissolve.
- Not Oil Based: No greasy tub floor after using this scrub like many sugar scrubs.
- No Animal Testing: Enough said? We think so.
Something's We Weren't Crazy About
- Strong, Lasting Scent: Though we thought the scent was pleasant, it really was strong and long lasting on our skin. If you purposely avoid highly-perfumed products, you'll probably want to avoid this one.
- Amount of Product Needed: This is not necessarily our personal feelings, but we did see it come up in many online user reviews. The gel is very thick and it doesn't spread very easily on your skin, which means you need more product. But priced at $4, it's priced at a point where using a little extra isn't necessarily a deal breaker in our eyes.
Freeman Beauty: Pomegranate Body Sugar Scrub - Final Thoughts
We love sugar body scrubs! They're effective and fun to use. This one is not oily or greasy and doesn't leave your skin or shower slippery, which is a pro in our eyes. As is the price tag. Everyone should be exfoliating their skin on a regular basis to get rid of the dead skin cells and this product is a great one to use as long as you don't mind the scent.
Using a moisturizer after you exfoliate is very important. You're taking off the dead layer of skin cells, bringing forth fresh, healthy skin. That skin needs to be hydrated right away. After your shower, apply a lotion, body butter or body oil to seal in your skin's moisture.
