The book is broken up into two sections, one for basic makeup tips and techniques and the other for more advanced techniques and tips for breaking into the industry. Bobbi covers every nook and cranny of the art of makeup application, but on the level that even a makeup novice could follow and understand.
Just as with Carmindy's other book it's packed full of great tips and ideas that anyone can use. She even offers positive affirmations, if you're into that sort of thing. I'm all for positive thinking, but I am not the type to have to look into the mirror and verbally say it to myself.
A good read for quick snippets of fun beauty facts and advice. Want to know if pore strips really work? Or if inexpensive skin care brands work as well as high-end products? You'll find out, plus you'll get fact-based info on hair care, makeup, nails, and the lowdown on the beauty industry. This isn't an acne treatment how-to, or even a skin care guide. 11. Acne For Dummies

This is a good, basic book for teens wanting to know quick fixes for beauty. The book is chock-full of wisdom & solid beauty advice, although some of the references to trends & celebrities seems a bit outdated 4 years after the book was published. Teens are more focused on Lindsay Lohan & Mischa Barton these days. They don't care about Jennifer Lopez or Sarah Jessica Parker.
