Homemade Face Wash Recipes

Are you looking for a way to get rid of the harsh facial cleansers sitting in your shower?  Sometimes it doesn't make sense to buy a big bottle of cleanser, especially if your skin changes frequently with the season.  My regularly normal to combination skin is currently drier than dry and the Neutrogena Gentle Face Wash (read review), though made for all skin types, is leaving my skin parched and begging for moisturizer.

Why not try something new and make your own face cleanser.  It couldn't be easier! And you can alter the recipe to make just enough for a day or two and see how it works for you without wasting any product or money.

Here are some face wash recipes to try. If you have a DIY skin care recipe you love, share it with us! We might feature it on our blog for all to see.

With regard to CeraVe which my daughter’s dermatology office recommended for excema, I was dismayed to see listed as an ingredient Propylparaben. Upon researching this ingredient, it showed moderate to high concern for endocrine system and hormone suppression (it could throw off your immune system) which may be the reason for the excess in the first place. I’m not saying it makes excess worse, but why have that ingredient in an “excess” cream in the first place? Especially if your slathering it on twice a day per the dermatologist. Please conduct your own research on this ingredient.

Thanks for the share on this. I had heard that Dr Oz had his own homemade face wash but I hadnt been able to find it and here it is. Bit perturbed it has lemon in it as I have problem skin but I have heard good things about Dr Oz so will give it a go.
