Nail Polish Strips - Reviews and Recommendations

By , About.com GuideFebruary 24, 2011

Follow me on:

A year ago, I wrote a blog post on nail polish strips.  I was curious about them.  Would they work as well as they say they would? (I didn't think so.)  Would they look cheesy? (I thought so.)  Were they a waste of money? (I thought so.)

I'll be honest and say that I never did try them, but my interest is peaked again.  But only because of the reviews that have been coming through from real users - They are all positive reviews.

Check out our latest article, 6 Brands of Nail Polish Strips to Try.  After doing research, I've decided that I'm going to try the Incoco Nail Polish Strips because of the great reviews they seem to get from their users.  They also have the biggest selection in both print and solid color.

At the end of the article is an area where you can post your own review of the nail polish strips that you've used.  There's even a place to share a picture of your manicure - good or bad!

*update* - I spoke with a representative from Incoco who explained that some of the nail polish strips aren't actually nail polish at all, but basically stickers that can crinkle easily.  Incoco, Sally Hansen and Sephora brand strips are indeed dry nail polish.

Hi Jen!

I just got one from Sally Hansen. So far, it’s pretty simple and good. I will post more info in Maquillaje-About.com.

¿The best? The package comes with 16 nail strips. I did both of my hands with just 5 of them.

I have used the Sally Hansen Salon Effects strips in Laced Up. They are so easy to apply and look amazing. Mine have now been on for at least a week and I have gotten tons of compliments. So spend the $8 and do it yourself they look better and cost less then a salon!
