3 Etsy Shops I'm Drooling Over

By , About.com GuideJuly 26, 2010

Follow me on:

It's been awhile since I've treated myself to something Etsy, so I thought I'd show you a few of the Etsy shops that I'm drooling over.  If you've never shopped Etsy, it's time you take advantage of the creative and talented shopkeepers.

First up? Future Primitive Soap.  Can you even get over how beautiful this soap it?  It's called Lemonade Lounger Soap, and is described as:  "buttery Ho Leaf & earthy, muddy Cedarwood nestle in amongst high citrus top notes of Sicilian Lemon & May Chang."

The lemon? Comes from Lemonbalm grown from their garden.  A piece of art! A 6 ounce bar is $7.50.  (FYI - Your typical soap from the drugstore is 3 ounces.  This is a huge bar of skin-lovin' soap!)

Next up? Bubble Bath Dough from Red Leaf.  If you click through and watch the YouTube review a customer made, you'll see how amazing the bubbles are with this Bubble Bath Dough.  Anyone who takes bubble baths or has children would love this product.

It's $12 and is enough for 10-13 baths.  A bargain when you think about how much we sometimes spend on bath bombs that are one time use! (Like these $6+ Lush bath bombs!)  I'd definitely have to hide this from my kiddos!

And last, a perfume from the shop WyldeIvy. The scent Sandcastles is a perfect description of what summer feels like to me: "Not a typical water scent by any means, this scent is fresh, sweet, and dreamlike blend of Coconut, Ginger, and Citrus fruits."

The cost is $15 for one ounce.  If Sandcastles isn't something you'd personally pick, you'll have no problem picking out a scent.  They have over 100 listings.

Great selections, I haven’t shopped Etsy in a while but you’re triggered memories of how addicting it is :) .

The soap is gorgeous, the type you want to just look at and never use. I’m especially intrigued by the WyldeIvy scents, as I have a hard time finding perfumes I like and don’t make me sneeze among the standard department store choices. I’ll definitely check Sandcastles, coconut and citrus are favorite scents of mine.

Hey Nita, thanks for the comment! If I’ve learned one thing from soapmakers, it’s that they never ever want you to buy their soap and not use it! ;) I bet it makes your skin feel lovely!

Let me know how you like Sandcastles, if you decide to go for it!
