With the announcement of The Body Shop at Home closing, many people with different direct sales companies have come out of the woodwork, some with companies that I have never heard of. I thought I'd compile a list of companies that directly deal with skin care or body care.
If you are a consultant with a business that deals with skin care, feel free to add a comment below. Once we get a few companies, I'll make a list. This will make it easier for those potentially looking for a company to work with.

Whenever a company closes their doors, the ripple affect hits everyone. Since the recent closing announcements of fellow skin care companies Warm Spirit and The Body Shop At Home we realize it makes no difference whether the company is privately or publicly held. This is a time to decide what’s right for you and should you decide to stay in this industry to do your due diligence. Be careful of signing with a company that is giving you some kind of special bonus to sign and/or to bring team members as nothing is free in this world and you may find that you’ll be paying for it in the long run with a weaker compensation plan. I’m with a great skin care company, have been since 2004 and am on the Founders Advisory Board. If an ethical executive environment, strong compensation plan and great skin care sounds like the direction you’re looking for you owe it to yourself to look at everything out there. I was so sorry to hear about the closing of The Body Shop At Home. My best friend was one of your consultant’s and luckily she saw the writing on the wall a few months ago and joined the company I represent. It is a lot less work than what she had to do at her parties prviously. My GOLD CANYON CANDLES sell themselves they are “The Worlds Finest”. It is interesting how many new “skin care” consultants are trying to glean off this TBSH misfortune. I would definitely take the advice of some here that recommended that you take time and consider the next steps.
I am starting a business this week. What I looked at was debt of the company, company leadership, and multiple product line. I didn’t want to work for a company that was just lotions, or make up, or vitamins. I want to work with a company that had it’s eye on the next thing and the next thing and the next thing. This is the only way to stay in business in today’s ever changing market. So in evaluating a number of them I have chosen to go with the UnFranchise. They are working with the music industry, wellness, cosmetics and skincare, medical marketing, business technologies, mobile communications and a number of other billion dollar industries. That made so much sense to me, because maybe I love one industry, but I can sell and recruit in all industries. Everybody wins.
If anyone is interested in information, really no pressure let me know. And I do mean no pressure; I only need 2 people working like I do to make money with this business. I discovered them through the SafeCosmetics.org website because I wanted a company that sold truly and purely natural products that contained no toxic ingredients and the only way to be approved members of the SafeCosmetics is to go through lots of testing of each product.
NOTE: Be careful when a company says they are natural. It’s true that they have natural ingredients BUT it doesn’t mean that they didn’t add other toxic ingredients in there too.
Anyway, Lemongrass Spa is from Colorado (a Go Green State) and they freshly handcreate each product as you place the order. All products are safe for the skin and the environment. It’s even therapeutic because the art of aromatherapy plays a significant role using the best essential oils available.
I chose Lemongrass Spa over the others because I needed not only healthy for the skin products but products that were safe enough for cancer patients going through chemo. And they have a fantastic unscented line. My sister-in-law was going through chemo for her uterine cancer and she used and loved the products. She said the lotion even helped to reduce some of the swelling in her legs. Unfortunately, we lost her this past February – less than a year from her diagnosis, and she was only 37.

As a former TBSAH consultant, I am sad to see it go. I said former because I actually stopped that company due to the huge amount of competition in that industry. I found it harder and harder to get clients that would not choose to just go to the mall and get it. I am now 2 1/2 years into a different company which I LOVE. We are still catering to women, but only women. I am still educating and doing fun shows, but the product line is different. I am now an Itimacy Advisor and Educator. The competiton is no where near the same calibur and the ecomony is not affecting me or my sisters at all. You do have to be 18, and if you are, I would love for you to cisit my website.
