Return to Origins Recycling Program (It's Fantastic!)

Wednesday March 18, 2009

What do you with with your empty lipstick tubes, moisturizer bottles or spot treatment container? If you're like most, you wonder if it can be recycled, but because you're unsure, you toss it. No more, my friends! Origins is coming to the rescue with their "Return to Origins Recycling Program". (And I'm giddy about it!)

Starting March 29th, you can bring all of your used product containers, bottles, caps and any other part of them that you think can be recycled. And the best part is that it doesn't matter what brand your cosmetics or skin care items are. Origins will gladly take them all.

According to their website, they will send them all to a central location where they will be recycled or used for energy recovery. If your drawer looks like the one shown, go through it and bring the empty containers to Origins. To celebrate the program, Origins is having a kickoff incentive to get you started. In certain locations they will be giving away free product to the first 250 to pop in and drop off their containers.

Know that this program isn't available in Nordstrom stores, as well as in Canada and Puerto Rico. You can find all of the info about this program and their kickoff locations at Origin's website.
