Cheaper Alternatives to Proactiv

By February 11, 2009

Follow me on:

Proactive, the widely popular acne line, uses two very common ingredients to fight acne: Benzoyl Peroxide and Glycolic Acid. While there is no doubt that Proactiv is affective for many, let's not forget that there are more affordable products on the market that will give you similar results. (As well as the ability to shop for them when you need to restock, instead of having them ship automatically.)

If you have been thinking about purchasing Proactiv, but you're not sure you want to spend a lot on your skin care regimen, you must check out the article, Is There a Cheaper Alternative to Proactiv?, buy About.com's Guide to Acne, Angela Palmer. You'll also get more product recommendations by reading her Benzoyl Peroxide Cleansers for Under $15.

Iíve heard of this new kid on the block that claims to be in itself a criticism of most celebrity-endorsed beauty and skincare products.

Itís called Glimpse. I bought a whole package and so far Iím happy with it. It is said to contain a high concentration of antioxidants from the mangosteen fruit, and (dig this!) these antioxidants are supposed to be 30 times more powerful than antioxidants found in green tea!

It sounds too good to be true. But you can check on the product at http://www.mymangosteen.com/tribaljoy2/product/Glimpse.asp

This product would have to be toxin free and all natural for me to consider using it.

I’ll check out the site and the ingredients before making a decision about it.

Hi Dana and Diana. I’ve heard of several fruit-based skincare products. This site might shed some (non-harmful) light: http://www.myskincareproductsreview.com
