Disposable Facial Cloths: Perfect for Evening Skin Care

Saturday April 26, 2008

When it comes to night time skin care, there seems to be two groups of people: those who religiously follow a three step regime no matter what, and those who would rather hit the sheets than pull out the cleanser. 9 times out of 10 I fall in the second category. But we all know that come bedtime, our face is ready to be cleaned. Even if you don't wear makeup during the day, the oils on your skin have built up and need to be removed.

If you're like me and prefer something quick and easy, you should try a pack of disposable facial cleansing cloths. The first time I got my hands on a pack, I fell in love. What's great about most is that they are plenty big, so big in fact, that you can cut them in half or even thirds. Run them under warm water and rub them together to get a great lather. You're face will get clean and slightly exfoliated. Rinse the cloth until it runs clear of soap and then rub gently to rinse the soap off of your face.

Dove Cool Cloths are a perfect example of these disposable cloths. And don't think that because they are disposible they are going to cost you more. Coming in a pack of 30; you can cut them in half and have a two month nightly supply for only $7.00.

How would you recomment washing skin that is both dry and oily? I’m 58 and don’t spend a lot of time on my face.
Thanks for your help.

If your skin is oily in some areas and dry in others, you have what is known as Combination Skin. It can be tricky to find something that won’t over dry your dry areas while leaving your oilier areas clean and matte. You said you don’t spend a lot of time on your face. Cleansing cloths like Dove Cool Cloths would be perfect for you. Make sure you cut them in half; they are plenty big to do this. Also, even those you have oily areas, you do need moisturizer. Use something mild like cetaphil after every wash, and you may notice your dry areas clearing up.

Hope that helps.
